The Dutch WiFi Fella (thanks my friend, Lee Batman) I have the equivalent of graduation from high school and graduation from vocational-technical high school in the United States. Futhermore I also completed a profesional training/development program in information technology and having a background equivalent to that of an individual with a bachelor’s degree in information technology from a regionally accredited college/university (Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas) in the US. I started my networking career in 2000 within former Atos Origin in The Netherlands. After a couple of years working in the LAN segment I became more and more passionated by wireless. I grew up in a Cisco autonomous WLAN environment at customers sites. But I totally freaked out for wireless when I first met Trapeze Networks, now Juniper Networks. Trapeze Networks, Inc. was founded in 2002. Trapeze has 17 awarded patents and 40+ patent filings pending. At that time I was charmed by their management tooling Ringmaster, their Mobility Points (APs) and Mobility Exchange controllers (MXs) After my first Trapeze WLAN implementation my interest of mult-vendor wireless grew more and more. www.peterpaulengelen.com

Wi-Fi Professional - Embedded Software Engineer - Network Engineer - Linux Maven I've been involved with wireless networking since 2001, when I started a job as a network analyst at a private university. My experiences in working with wireless technologies have taken me to both US coasts and many places in-between. I accepted a job at Xirrus in 2008, where I started my career in embedded software. My work is mostly focused on our access point products, but my Linux experience leads me to be involved in nearly every product we offer. Although I'm not out designing and deploying networks, something I enjoy and miss doing, I stay engaged with the Wi-Fi and networking communities. Xirrus was acquired by Riverbed Networks in 2016 and I continue my work to create awesome, stable, feature-rich software with the same team I've been with for twelve years. I look forward to a bright future integrating the Xirrus software with the best SDWAN and DPM systems on the planet.
